Alyssa’s Dream

“No stop!! Please stop, can you see the sun is dimming? Is it only me? What’s going on? Stop lying!”

Strangers looking at her confused, “Is she okay?”

 Sun goes dim. I saw a flicker of light, but this was bad…it was like flicking a light switch on and off. I heard a sound that was so loud that it seemed like tornado alarms going off in the city. My stomach was in pain, my legs started to shake. I wanted to run, but it felt like I was paralyzed until a light started to flash on me. It seemed like I was floating, but something was lifting me up at the same time. I have never seen such a bright light that’s so blinding. I saw a tall, white figure. I can see a hand reach out of the sky. It was so unimaginable.

Alarm went off, it was just just a dream. The dream was so real, the touch of a hand pulling me up, but then again it was just a dream. I was on my way to the grocery store, but right when I was stepping out the door, I had a weird gut feeling. It felt like a heartbeat was going on in my stomach. My ears started to ring. It was like I could hear everyone’s voices.  

 I started looking around. People were out. About more than usual. I noticed that the sun looked weird. Usually it’s bright and sunny, but this looked so dim. I started to ignore it until I noticed a flicker…what the hell. I started to look around and it seemed like no one else noticed, just me. I could hear people’s voices talking in my head. I heard a particular voice. It sounded like one of my neighbors, Mrs.Claudia. I heard her say something about me leaving trash outside my door,  which I never did. As soon as I heard this, I saw the sun flicker. Am I the only one seeing this? I heard another particular voice, the mail man was telling someone that he did not go through their mail. I knew that he was lying because he does it a lot. I saw the same flicker again. The sun was dimming down, little by little. So I started thinking, what if the sun is dimming due to everyone lying? I started running down the street.

 “Hey everybody, stop it!!” I shouted out. Everybody started to look at me like I was crazy. BOOM!! A big noise started to go off. It was coming from the sky. Everybody was looking around. I tried to run, but I couldn’t move. It was like someone was holding me in place. The sun was no longer here. I could hear everyone panicking, cars crashing. That’s when a beam of light shined down right above me. I tried looking up, but something was pulling me up in the air. It appeared to be a big hand…I passed out

I woke up and I looked around. It was so white, I felt like I was home. I heard a deep voice,

“Turn around,” it was so deep that I screamed. I saw a man with wings, standing near another man, who was sitting down on a throne. Little did I know that I was on the mans’ hand that was sitting down. “Oh My God!! Are you God?” He gave a big smile.

 “What gave it away, Alyssa?”

 “You know my name?”

 “Of course I do, I’ve been watching you for a long time,”

 I replied back, “Really? But there are billions of people on Earth.” He held his finger up, and there was a sphere-like object on it. Then he brought me closer. He said,“yes.”

 I realized that sphere-like object was the Earth. “Watch.” He blew on the earth and it disintegrated. “Alyssa, I want you to become a Prophet for me.” I started crying. 

“Don’t cry, sweetheart. Better yet, I want you to become an angel. I want you to go down to the new Earth I’m about to create. I want you to walk upon the humans until the time is right”

“What do you mean?”

 “Alyssa, we are at war.”
